Western New England College falls to host Hartwick 88-77 in non-league contest

HARTWICK, N.Y.
- Freshman forward Jared Suderley (Newport, NY) had a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Hartwick men's basketball team to an 88-77 victory over Western New England College Thursday night (Dec. 9).

Junior forward Chris Ryder (Port Washington, NY) added a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds for the Hawks who improved to 4-3. Senior forward Martin McCann (Hopewell Junction, NY) also reached double digits with 10 points.

Western New England College received a career high 30 points from senior guard Chris Devine (Wilbraham, MA) who connected on 11-of-17 shots from the field (including 3-of-5 three-pointers) and five-of-six attempts from the foul line. Devine also puled down five rebounds and collected three steals.

Senior guard Andre Shaw (New York, NY) and sophomore guard Damon Alston (New Britain, CT) each netted 14 points for the Golden Bears who drop to 0-8.

Senior center Conor Lomas (Wilbraham, MA) and senior guard Kyle Bean (Westhampton, MA) each contributed seven rebounds. Bean also dished out four assists.

WNEC trailed 38-25 at halftime, but didn't give up out-scoring the hosts 52-50 in the second half.
