Megan Doyle (Putnam Valley, NY) combined for 22 points as the Western New England College women's lacrosse team beat Colby-Sawyer 22-9 Saturday afternoon (March 27).
The Golden Bears evened their record to 4-4 and remained unbeaten in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) with a 2-2 mark. The Chargers fall to 2-5 and 1-2 in the league.
Doyle scored six goals and had an assist while Fenton also netted six goals. Barbato fired-in five shots and dished out three assists.

Marissa Bonitatibus (Yorktown Heights, NY) compiled eight saves.
Sophomore attacker
Brittney Murphy (Woburn, MA) tallied four goals and had two assists for Colby-Sawyer. Senior attacker
Elaine Kennedy (Sunderland, MA) scored twice while sophomore attacker
Lyndsay French (Ipswich, MA) contributed three assists.
Western New England College led 11-5 at the break before the Chargers pulled within 12-7 on a goal by Murphy with 25:56 left in the game.
The Golden Bears ran off eight unanswered goals capped by a free position shot by Doyle with 13:47 left.
Western New England College wore pink shorts during its pre-game warm-ups in conjunction with the national Think-Pink Day program, which supports raises money and supports research for breast cancer.
