Annie Alvord (Yorktown, NY) scored two goals, including the game-winner with 13:35 left in the second half, to lead the Roger Williams women's lacrosse team to an 8-7 victory over Western New England College Tuesday afternoon (Apr. 27).
The Hawks raised their record to 12-4 and earned the second seed in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Tournament with a 9-2 mark. The Golden Bears finished the regular season with a 10-7 record and tied for fourth in the conference with an 8-3 ledger.
This was a close game the entire way with the Golden Bears taking their only lead at 2-1 following back-to-back goals by senior midfielder

Fenton made it a one-goal game with 21:17 left in the second half and Toomy tied the contest just 33 seconds later. Toomy had a strong performance with three goals and an assist while Fenton netted a pair of goals with an assist.
