MIDDLETOWN, Conn. - Senior midfielder
Alex Dos Santos (Ludlow, MA) scored the game-winning goal for the Golden Bears in the 89th minute to seal a 3-2 victory over #23 Wesleyan on Sunday afternoon (Sept. 19) in a battle of last year's NCAA Division III Tournament participants.
Dos Santos converted on a free kick from 20 yards out to complete the comeback for Western New England College, who trailed 2-0 in the match.
Wesleyan jumped out to an early lead thanks to a WNEC own goal just six minutes in, and added a second goal seven minutes later on a header from sophomore
