BEVERLY, Mass. - The Endicott women's tennis team captured the final singles match to claim a 5-4 victory over Western New England College Tuesday afternoon (Sept. 21).

The Gulls improved their record to 5-3 overall and 5-1 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC).

This was the second straight one-point loss for the Golden Bears who are now 2-4 (their same mark in the league).

EC freshman Melanie Weinick (Colchester, CT) won the deciding match in three games at number five singles.

Juniors Christina Barbarisi (Feeding Hills, MA) and Jessica Haffner (Suffield, CT) took the number two doubles match for WNEC. Barbarisi and Haffner also captured their number two and four singles matches, respectively.
