Western New England competes at the 16th Annual Westfield James Earley Invitational

WESTFIELD, Mass. – The Western New England women's cross-country team placed 21st among 38 teams at the 16th Annual Westfield James Earley Invitational Saturday (Oct .8) at Stanley Park.

Leading the Golden Bears was senior Alyssa Marsden (Wakefield, MA) who came in 129th in the 354-runner field with a time of 21 minutes, 51.62 seconds over the 5,000-meter course.

Sophomore Maura McCusker (Westford, MA) was literally right behind in the next spot in 21:52.03.

Coast Guard captured team honors with 68 points with host Westfield State (85), Le Moyne (NY) (127), University of New England (134), and Saint Anselm (154) rounding out the top five.

The individual champion was Bridgewater State junior Molly Rouillard (Dartmouth, MA) who turned in a time of 18:45.91.
