WENHAM, Mass. (November 1, 2025) – The Golden Bears traveled to Wenham, Massachusetts, for the CNE Conference Championship meet on Saturday. The teams would see multiple best times, including Lucas Franco and Olivia Kay, who led the Golden Bears with new marks on the top 25 program record boards.

How it Happened:
Men's 8k Race:
- The men's 8k race was the first to run at noon.
- Lucas Franco would post another career-best time of 27:19.14. Franco was six-for-six in best times after that run. That was the ninth-fastest time run in the 8k by a WNE runner. Franco placed 23rd in the 8k.
- Joshua Farrell placed 27th in his final conference championship meet. Farrel ran a 27:25.41. That is another top 25 time for the senior from Rhode Island.
- Then, in 47th place overall, Nicholas Smith would run a time of 28:26.75. Smith placed third for the Golden Bears.
- Pablo Tapion would place 50th overall and fourth on WNE, with a time of 28:30.10.
- Gianni Santagata would place 58th and fifth for WNE with a season-best time of 28.30.10.
- The Golden Bears concluded the 8k with 176 points, which placed them 7th overall.
Women's 6k Race:
- The women's 6k race would start at 1:00 PM.
- Olivia Kay ran the best race of her season by running a time of 23:41.48, a career-best time. Kay placed 14th overall and earned the third-fastest recorded 6k time for a WNE runner.
- Lia Pouliot was next for WNE, placing 32nd and picking up a new season-best time of 24:36.43.
- Nina Garafalo would then run a season-best time of 24:42.14, which placed Garafalo in 35th place overall and third on WNE.
- Caitlin Reilly placed fourth on the team and 39th in the race, running a season-best time of 24:55.17.
- Fallon Lynch earned a time of 25:19.59, placing 46th and fifth on WNE.
- The Golden Bears placed 6th in the championship with 156 total points.
