Brian Prost (Parma, OH) each tallied a goal and an assist in the third period to lead Western New England to its second straight Pepperidge Farm Classic title with a 4-1 win over host Worcester State on Saturday (Nov. 12) night at the Daniel Horgan Memorial Ice Rink.
The Golden Bears improve to 2-1 on the year; while the Lancers slip to 1-1 on the season.

Nick Diorio (Newington, CT) notched his first career goal off assists from classmates
Michael Darrar (Monroe Township, NJ) and
Matt Dore (Shelbourne, MA).
The Lancers tied it up in the second period on a goal from senior forward
Tim D'Orazio (Jamison, PA) that was assisted by sophomore forward
Ryan Quirk (Brockton, MA) and junior forward
Pat Styckiewicz (Chicopee, MA).
The Golden Bears pulled away with three goals in the final stanza.
Kelly tallied the game-winner on assists from Prost and sophomore forward
Chris Connors (Albany, NY).

Dan Monahan (Monroe, NJ) stretched the lead to 3-1 minutes later on helpers from classmate
Trent Krueger (White Bear Lake, MN) and senior forward
Kory Grahl (San Diego, CA).
Prost added an insurance goal on the power play with assists from Kelly and freshman defender
Adam Bristol (Carmel, IN) to close out the scoring.

Eric Sorenson (Fairport, NY) recorded 19 saves to earn the win in net.

Taylor Fant (Denver, CO) turned away 38 shots in the losing effort.
