NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – Freshman midfielder Kelsey Daniels (South Windsor, CT) scored seven goals and added an assist to lead Western New England to a 18-3 victory over Smith on Thursday (Mar. 31) afternoon.

Western New England improves to 6-3 on the year; Smith falls to 2-6 overall with the loss.

Daniels was one of six Golden Bears to score multiple goals on the day.

Junior attacker Katie Toomy (Northborough, MA) was second on the team with three goals.

Senior attacker Jeanmarie Barbato (Huntington Station, NY), freshman midfielder Shauna Murray Queensbury, NY), sophomore attacker Julianne Green (Bay Shore, NY), and senior midfielder Nicole Poli (Medfield, MA) all contributed two goals each for WNEC.

Poli also added three groundballs and an assist.

Senior goalkeeper Marissa Bonitatibus (Yorktown Heights, NY) made seven saves to earn the win in net.

The Golden Bears return to action on Saturday (Apr. 2) at 1:00 p.m. to host Anna Maria in a The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) contest.
