Stephanie Fitzgerald (Groveland, MA) each scored three goals as the Gordon women's lacrosse team handed Western New England its first loss in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) with an 11-9 victory Saturday (Apr. 9).
Fitzgerald also added an assist for the Fighting Scots who raised their record to 8-5 and 6-2 in the conference. The Golden Bears saw their six-game winning streak ended in falling to 8-4 and 5-1 in TCCC play.

Kelsey Daniels (South Windsor, CT) each tallied three goals for Western New England. Junior midfielder
Katie Toomy (Northborough, MA) contributed a goal and assist.
Knaus netted two of her goals in the opening half as the hosts jumped to an 8-2 advantage at the break.
Western New England chipped away at the lead using four straight goals, the last by Daniels, to get within 10-8 with 8:52 left in the contest.
Fitzgerald scored her final goal on a free position shot and Gordon held the Golden Bears scoreless until Toomy fired in a shot with 30 seconds remaining,
