Box Score BEVERLY, Mass.--Hannah Thornberg scored two goals on Tuesday to lead host Endicott College past Western New England University, 5-1, in Commonwealth Coast Conference field hockey action, signaling the Golden Bears (5-13 overall, 0-9 CCC) last road contest of the season. The Gulls (12-4) have the inside track to be the No. 1 seed for next week's CCC Tournament with an 8-1 conference ledger.

Lindsay Lalonde scored Western New England's lone goal, unassisted, in the 51st minute to pull the Golden Bears within 3-1 and plenty of time left to tie the score. It marked her third tally of the season.
But the Gulls cushioned their lead to 4-1 on Thornberg's second marker 3 minutes later and added another off the stick of Amanda Glynn in the 65th minute. Thornberg, who recently became the Endicott all-time career goals leader, tied the school's single-season record with her 19th and 20th tallies and also eclipsed the season points mark with 47 points, including seven assists.
Endicott outshot its opponent, 31-6, and also doubled up the Golden Bears in penalty corners, 8-4.
