Box Score
BEVERLY, Mass.--Despite getting game highs of 14 points by senior tri-captain
Emily Savino and 12 rebounds from freshman
Chelsea Vujs, the Western New England women's basketball team couldn't overcome a cold-shooting experience down the stretch during a 56-50 loss at Endicott at MacDonald Gymnasium on Saturday. The Golden Bears, who have lost three straight, fall below the .500-mark for the first time since November at 5-6 overall, including 2-2 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference. The Gulls improve to 7-3 on the season and 3-0 in the CCC.
Jennifer White scored 11 of her team-high 13 points in the first half to lead the Gulls, who ended the final 4 minutes and 24 seconds on a 7-0 run after a Vujs (9 points) trey from the top of the key gave WNE a 50-49 advantage. The Endicott defense forced the Golden Bears to miss their last 10 field goal attempts of the contest to keep them at bay.
