Tyler Singh, Devyn Frank Pave the Way in 3-0 Win over Wentworth on Senior Day

Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Mass.--Western New England put the finishing touch on another successful regular season on Saturday with a Commonwealth Coast Conference women's volleyball sweep over visiting Wentworth 25-15, 25-12, 25-15 on Senior Day at the Alumni Healthful Living Center field house. The Golden Bears head into the CCC Tournament as the fifth seed after going 21-8 overall and 5-3 in the conference, while the Leopards are 16-11 and 2-6 in the CCC.

Seniors Tyler Singh (.267 hitting) and Devyn Frank (.455) paved the way for WNE with eight and seven kills, respectively, followed by classmate Maureen Pollet with six. Frank added four blocks and Pollet had three.

"It was great getting a win today on Senior Day," Western New England coach Bret Stothart said. "Our seniors have been a big part of this program's success over the years, and they deserve to be recognized for all their accomplishments."

Stephanie Nihan led Wentworth with six kills, but the Leopards' offense hit minus-.066. Shannon Ponce made 16 assists.

Freshman setter Jessica Sincero also shined for the Golden Bears with 20 assists and three service aces.

Western New England will play on Tuesday (7 p.m.) as the No. 5 seed at No. 4 University of New England in the first round of the CCC tournament.
