Western New England Struggles at Mount Holyoke in Non-CCC Play, 8-0

Box Score SOUTH HADLEY, Mass.--Mount Holyoke scored four goals in each half en route to an 8-0 victory Saturday over Western New England in non-conference field hockey action at MHC Turf Field. The host Lyons improve to 5-0 on the year while the Golden Bears dip to 1-3.

Kirsten Kilburn paced MHC with four goals and two assists, and Jessica Taylor added a pair of tallies.

Senior tri-captain Jaynie Mueller had two of WNE's four shots on the afternoon.

Freshman Jessica Hale made her collegiate debut in the WNE goal after joining the team earlier this week, making eight saves in the second half.

Katherine Ferrari, a senior tri-captain, tied a WNE season-high with two defensive saves to push her overall team lead to four. 

The Lyons peppered the WNE cage with 35 shots, including 24 that were on target.
