Kevin Parma each scored in the second half to lift Western New England to a 2-0 win Saturday over Nichols in Commonwealth Coast Conference men's soccer action at Suprenant Field. The Golden Bears extended their unbeaten streak to five games (4-0-1) to improve to 7-2-1 on the season, including a 2-1 conference mark, while handing the Bison their first loss in nine starts at 5-1-3 and 2-1 in CCC play.
After the teams played to a scoreless first half, the hosts broke through on a set piece after 21 minutes gone in the second. Bartnik collected a loose ball in front of the NC goal and tapped in his team-leading seventh goal in the 67th minute following a WNE corner kick.
Then five minutes later, co-captain Parma converted a penalty kick for his first goal of the season to account for the final margin of victory.
Western New England enjoyed advantages in shots (13 to 12), shots on goal (10-3) and corner kicks (8-3).

Domenick Villano had three stops for his second consecutive shutout and fifth overall on the year.
