SPRINGFIELD, Mass.--Visiting Endicott College outscored Western New England University 16-8 for the final 2 minutes and 35 seconds to earn a 68-60 victory Saturday over the Golden Bears in Commonwealth Coast Conference women's basketball action at the Alumni Healthful Living Center. The Gulls end the regular season with a 19-6 record, including 14-4 in CCC play, and Western New England falls to 10-15 overall and 7-11 in the conference.

Chelsea Vujs came off the bench to score a game-high 17 points and team-best eight rebounds for Western New England, which also got 10 points apiece from senior
Ali Pessolano and junior
Samantha McCann.

Shaylyn Sicard were recognized on Senior Day. The quintet has an aggregate grade-point average of 3.45.
Kelsey Cuddy paced Endicott with 14 points while Samantha Crough and Julie Manning both chipped in 13 each.
The teams traded points for the first 10 minutes, with WNE holding a 15-13 lead after a Vujs lay-in. Nicole Catizone made the first of her two 3-pointers to give Endicott the lead for good, 16-15, at 10:12 on the clock. Kayleen Whall scored the Gulls next five points and Catizone added another three-pointer to quickly stretch the advantage to 24-17.
After trailing 31-21 at the intermission, WNE got the deficit down to 39-36 on seven points from Vujs and four from McCann.
Endicott, however, got the lead back up to nine points, 47-38, after a pair of Cuddy free throws with 8 minutes and 37 seconds left.
Western New England was able to put together another surge to get back in the game and even taking a 52-50 lead on two
Paige Young free throws at the 4:30 mark.
Manning made two free throws at the 2:35 mark to reclaim Endicott's lead for good, 54-52. Manning was the catalyst of a 13-0 run, scoring seven points in 2 minutes to seal the victory.
McCann also pulled down eight rebounds as WNE enjoyed a 43-39 advantage on the glass. Jennifer White (9 points) and Whall each had 10 for the Gulls, who made one more free throw (25-for-38) than WNE had attempted (17-for-24).
The Golden Bears' reserves easily outscored the Endicott bench, 34-15.
Endicott and WNE will turn right around to meet again in a little over 72 hours in a No. 3/6 quarterfinal match-up in the CCC Tournament on Tuesday.
