Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Mass.--Freshman Lauren Sell chalked up her third career double winner match on Wednesday to help power the Western New England University women's tennis team to an 8-1 non-conference victory over visiting Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts at the Volvo Outdoor Courts. The Golden Bears won their third-straight to improve to 4-1 on the season while the Trailblazers fall even to 2-2.

Sell teamed up with sophomore Joeanna Glantz for an 8-3 No. 1 doubles triumph over freshman Sarah Mikutowicz and senior Sarah Murphy, and then defeated Mikutowicz at No. 1 singles in straight sets, 6-3, 6-0.

Freshman Mariza Sfakianaki gave MCLA its lone point with a No. 4 singles win, edging junior co-captain Kelly Byrnes 6-4, 1-6 and taking the match in a 10-7 super tiebreaker.

In addition to Sell, Christina D'Agostino and Glantz were double winners for the Golden Bears. Head coach Jennifer Kolins slightly mixed up her lineup that included the season debut of freshman Holly Nelson at No. 6 singles, and she responded without losing a set, 6-0, 6-0.

Western New England is back in action on Saturday when it travels to Beverly for a Commonwealth Coast Conference encounter with Endicott College, starting at 1 p.m.
