SPRINGFIELD, Mass.--Freshman substitute
Danielle Dixon made her first collegiate points memorable as she banged home the lone goal of the game just 46 seconds into overtime to lift Western New England to a 1-0 victory Saturday over visiting Eastern Nazarene in the Commonwealth Coast Conference women's soccer opener for both squads at Suprenant Field. The visiting Lions drop to 3-4 overall while the Golden Bears improve to 2-3-1 to treat the Homecoming crowd.

Briana Kubik made four saves to overtake the CCC lead with 36 on the season, while posting her second shutout. The Lions' Kristen Farley faced five shots but did not make a stop.
