Western New England blanks Eastern Nazarene 3-0 for first Commonwealth Coast victory

QUINCY, MA - The Western New England women's soccer team played perhaps its best match of the season after posting a 3-0 shutout victory over host Eastern Nazarene Saturday (Sept. 26).

The Golden Bears raised their record to 2-6-2 and 1-1-1 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC).

WNE took a 2-0 advantage at halftime following goals by Emma Norden (from Alicia Lewis) in the23rd minute and Danielle Dixon (from Christina Delude) in the 43^rd minute.

Lewis notched the final goal of the contest in the 73^rd minute with an assist from Becca Mercieri.

Briana Kubik contributed to the win by making six saves while Kristen Farley stopped five shots for the Lions (3-4-1, 1-2 CCC).

Western New England held a slight 14-13 edge in shots.
