th goal of the season with 20:17 left in the game, UNE reeled off six straight goals without conceding one until Scialdone netted her second of the contest in the closing seconds.

Ashley Brunner (Stratford, Conn.) added two goals each.
Sophomore goalie
Shannon McFadden (West Islip, N.Y.) made 12 saves in the cage, and senior

Junior

Jolena Lampron (Lyman, Maine) and freshmen
Korinne Bohunsky (Eliot, Maine) and
Nicole Carvalho (South Kingston, R.I.) contributed two each.
Two goals from Davee and one by Bohunsky had the home team ahead 3-0 just over seven minutes into the contest, but Brunner found the back of the net at the 19:44 mark, sparking a 5-0 Western New England run that included four straight goals by Kumnick.
The Golden Bears were still in control of the contest early in the second half despite Lampron's goal just 46 seconds into the period, as Brunner, Kumnick and Scialdone all scored to give the visitors a four-goal cushion (8-4) with 20:17 remaining.
UNE took over from there, however, utilizing its 6-0 run to turn the four-goal deficit into a two-score advantage (10-8) following Carvalho's unassisted tally with 1:02 on the clock. Scialdone cut the margin to one with 12 seconds remaining, but the Nor'easters were able to hold on for the win.
Western New England now returns to Springfield for its final three contests of the regular season, beginning with Wednesday afternoon's CCC tilt against Curry. The Nor'easters will also be in action on Wednesday, as they host No. 9 ranked Colby.Â
