SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (October 13, 2018) -  The Western New England University men's soccer team used a dominant second half performance to beat Curry College 4-0 on Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at Suprenant Field.

Top Performers
Four different players notched goals for Western New England. Juniors Connor Prindle (Shelton, Conn.), Ty Champagne (Watertown, Conn.), Charlie Argyle (Marshfield, Mass.), and sophomore Joseph Fortuna (Burlington, Conn.) paced the Golden Bear offense.

A strong Western New England defensive effort limited Curry to just two shots (none on goal) as junior goalkeeper Dylan Husted (South Deerfield, Mass.) registered his second shutout of the season.

Game Review
With the score knotted at 0-0 through 45 minutes of play, Western New England came out for the second half and erupted offensively for four goals.

In the 57th minute, junior forward Corey Brown (Somers, Conn.) came streaking down the right side of the field and crossed the ball into Champagne who chipped it up past the Curry keeper for the first score of the game.

Prindle attacked the Curry defense on his own in the 68th minute to add to the Golden Bear lead.

At the 77:10 mark, Argyle sped past the defense and took advantage of a one-on-one opportunity with the keeper to make the lead 3-0.

Finally, Fortuna had his chance late in the contest when the keeper emerged from the net and Fortuna leaped over him for an uncontested goal to cap off the dominating performance.
