Box Score WENHAM, Mass. (April 10, 2021) – The Western New England University women's lacrosse team bounced back with a 23-7 win over Gordon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Saturday afternoon at the Brigham Athletic Complex.
Top Performers
Senior Reilly Miller collected her 100th career point on Saturday as she scored four goals and dished out three assists for the Golden Bears. First-year Ally Ferraro scored four goals and had one assist, while senior Ashley Hudson and junior Liz Mazza each scored three goals and had two assists.
Allison Mead, Abigail Mansfield, and Lena Larson each had two goals for the Fighting Scots.
Game Review
The Golden Bears got off to a fast start, scoring four goals within the first two minutes. After Gordon got one back, Western New England scored the next 11 goals, including one from Miller for her 100th career point, to take a 15-1 lead. The Golden Bears kept their momentum going into the second half, as they outscored the Fighting Scots 8-5 to win 23-7.
