Senior Madisyn Crotta would score 26 seconds after the Mazza goal to even the score at three all. 31 seconds later, Kylie Buchanan would find the back of the net on an assist from Hannah Jarvis as WNE took their first lead since it was 1-0. Endicott wouldn't let the Golden Bears hold the lead for long, however, as the Gulls scored the final two goals of the first quarter to take a 5-4 lead after one quarter of play. Faith Graveline made four saves in the opening quarter for WNE, while EC outshot WNE 11-10.

A string of three goals in a row from the end of the first quarter to the start of the second quarter would send the Gulls ahead for the second time in the contest. Katy Garvin would open the scoring for Endicott in the quarter, picking up the Gulls sixth goal of the afternoon. Emmy Burns would respond for WNE less than a minute later to shrink Endicott's lead to 6-5 with still nine minutes to play in the quarter. Just after the nine-minute mark, the Gulls would score again, maintaining their two-goal edge until Hannah Jarvis would be able to find the back of the net on an assist from Burns which started a WNE rally. With 2:21 to play, Buchanan would get on the board for her second time in the contest on an assist from Reilly Miller to even the score at seven. Western New England would take the lead with just 58 seconds remaining when Ally Hill picked up the go-ahead goal to give WNE an 8-7 lead after two quarters of play. In the quarter, Endicott would outshoot WNE 9-7, while Graveline made an additional five saves.

The Golden Bears would take their first two-goal lead to open the third quarter when Buchanan netted her hattrick goal to give the Golden Bears a 9-7 lead. Both the Gulls and the Golden Bears would go back and forth in the quarter, goal for goal ass WNE held a two-goal lead after three quarters of play. Samantha Vitka and Ally Hill would score the other two goals for WNE in the contest while Katie Schenk, and Alex Palermo would score for Endicott. EC would again outshoot WNE, this time 7-6 in the quarter.

The scoring for Endicott would come alive in the fourth quarter, as the Gulls made a giant push to take the lead again. Endicott would rip off the first five goals of the fourth quarter as Kianan Napolitano, Alex Palermo, and Katie Schenk would all score for the Gulls as EC would take their first three goal lead of the contest. Buchanan would score with 6:38 remaining in the fourth to break Endicott's streak, though the Gulls would get the next goal to re-take their three-goal lead. Ally Ferraro came away with the last Golden Bears goal of the afternoon as Endicott would score eight times to WNEs' two in the fourth to take the game 17-13 and remain perfect in the CCC standings.
