SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (September 27, 2022) - The Western New England women's tennis team were downed on Tuesday afternoon from a windy Volvo Tennis Courts, dropping a 6-3 contest to the Lynx of Lesley University. 

How it Happened:
The Golden Bears fell behind early in the match in doubles action, winning just one of the three matches. Aliza McLeish and Arriana Haisuk defeated Jessica Legendre and Isabella Cottrell by a score of 8-2. Gabrielle Tirkot and Sydney Shepard were downed 8-4 while Dani Martinez and Gianna Arace fell 8-5 in doubles action. 

In singles action, Western New England picked up two wins, when Arriana Hasiuk and Gabrielle Tirkot picked up victories, though this would be the only two victories foe WNE in singles action as Lesley would come away with four of the six match wins and took down the Golden Bears by a final score of 6-3.
