SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (November 7, 2023) – Western New England football's Offensive Line has been awarded a spot on D3football.com's Team of the Week, as announced by the organization's office on Tuesday morning.
The starting offensive line, consisting of
Zachary Smith, Collin Leblanc,
Nick Barrett,
Jacob Dauphinee, and
Chris Morris, allowed the Golden Bears to rush for 590 yards in the 69-28 win over Nichols College in Saturday afternoon's win. The 590 yards is the most rushing yards in a single game by the Western New England football team in its program history.
This season, the Western New England offensive line has allowed the Blue and Gold to score over 32 points per game, rushing for nearly six yards per carry and averaging over 240 yards on the ground per game. The Golden Bears have scored 21 rushing touchdowns this season, while their total rushing offense ranks 11
th in the country and first in the Commonwealth Coast Conference.
Western New England football returns to action on Saturday, November 11 at 12:00 pm, traveling to Curry College for their final regular season game of the season.
