De'Andre Harris was named to the All-Region First Team, while Safety
Johnny Ferrentino collected honors on the All-Region Third Team.
Harris had a career year for Western New England in 2025, breaking the all-time receiving yards record in program history, on his way to a 1,000-yard receiving season. Harris grabbed 52 catches this past season, good for 1,013 yards overall, and scored ten touchdowns for the Golden Bears to lead the team. Harris had at least one catch in all ten games for the Blue and Gold and scored a touchdown in seven of the ten games on the year. Harris becomes the first Golden Bear since 2019 to record a 1,000+ yard season. Over four years sporting the Blue and Gold, Harris played in 41 games, making 152 catches, good for 2,694 yards, and scored 24 touchdowns overall. Harris averaged just under four receptions per game, averaging 17.7 yards per catch and 66 yards per game in his career. Harris sits all alone at the top of the record books in receiving yards, breaking a four-year-old record set by Steven Fedorchak (2,531 yards) in 2021.
Ferrentino had a career year for WNE Football this past season, helping the Golden Bears hold down a strong defense that ranked fifth overall in the nation in third-down conversion percentage, 12
th in first-down defense, 22
nd in red-zone defense, and 58
th overall in total defense in Division III. Ferrentino played a big part in the success of those numbers, playing in all ten games during the season. The East Longmeadow, Massachusetts native picked up 23 solo tackles and 29 assisted tackles, good for 52 total tackles during the season, all career-highs. Ferrentino dropped opponents back once with a half tackle for loss on the year. The WNE senior also contributed with four interceptions during the year, three total pass breakups, and had a forced fumble and fumble recovery on the season. Ferrentino finished second among Golden Bears in tackles, first in both interceptions and break-up passes, had one of the two recovered fumbles, and forced the only fumble for the WNE defense on the year.
The Western New England football team wrapped up the 2025 season with its second consecutive 6-4 season. WNE's season was highlighted by its first-ever win over a ranked opponent, defeating 13
th-ranked Springfield College at Golden Bear Stadium on opening weekend.
