Ryan Montini and
Jack Loftus would both reach on singles for the Golden Bears and advanced on a wild pitch, putting runners on second and third with no outs.
Leo Paragarino continued to deliver at the plate, coming up with a single to score one, giving WNE a 3-0 lead.
Trey Young collected an RBI on a ground out while
Antonio Galizia picked up a sacrifice fly out, which gave the Golden Bears a five-run lead. A throwing error by the Wildcats would send the final run of the inning for WNE to the plate as the inning ended by the Golden Bears coming up with four runs on three hits overall. JWU would quickly make their mark in the game, scoring four runs off four hits in the bottom of the third inning, quickly erasing Western New England's six-run lead, dropping It down to just a two-run advantage. JWU picked up RBIs on two singles, a double, and a ground out to get back within two after three innings.
The Golden Beats would go down quietly in the top of the fourth while JWU came up with another RBI single to get themselves within one run of the tie. The RBI single would be the end of the night for
Jared Kuryan, who went the first 3.2 innings, giving up five hits and five runs while walking three and striking out six.
Troy Donohue would get the final out of the inning for the blue and gold. Western New England would have the only hit in the fifth inning after the Golden Bears filled the bases on two walks and the hit but could not score as the score remained 6-5 after five innings of play.

Canon Marshall recorded his second hit of the game in the top of the seventh, but the Golden Bears would come up short in scoring the WNE sophomore, leaving the game in the hands of the final three outs in the bottom of the seventh. Donohue would close out the game in the seventh, allowing just one hit while getting a strikeout and two fly ball outs to end the game as the Golden Bears came up with a 6-5 victory.

How It Happened (Game 2 – 7 Innings)
The Golden Bears would come out flat in their second game of the afternoon and would fall with ease.
Matt Lauria, who had not allowed a run to begin his first four starts of the season, gave up just one hit in the bottom of the first to the Wildcats to extend his scoreless streak. The scoreless streak would come to an end, however, in the bottom of the second inning after an RBI single would put JWU on the board, 1-0. The Wildcats picked up a 2-0 lead quickly after to come out of the inning with a 2-0 lead as the Golden Bears would fall into a hole quickly and would not be able to recover.
Antonio Galizia would be WNE's first base runner, drawing a walk but the Golden Bears would be held hit-less through the first three innings of play.
Johnson and Wales broke the game wide open in the top of the fourth inning, stopping WNE from scoring after
Jack Loftus and
Leo Paragarino would single in the top of the inning but a base running miscue would end the inning prematurely for the Golden Bears. JWU would triple to score a run right away in the bottom of the fourth while a stolen base and RBI single would extend Johnson & Wales's lead to 5-0 after four innings of play. JWU would be the first team to score runs off Lauria this season. The Golden Bears saw
Canon Marshall record the only hit in the top of the sixth inning but could not string together any opportunities following. Five runs on four hits and two errors would come in to score for the Wildcats in the bottom of the inning off
Demitri Boulas, which would be plenty for JWU to come around with a win in the game. An infield single and two doubles, one bases-clearing, would put Johnson & Wales ahead by ten, 10-0, following the end of the sixth inning.
Tyler Kornacki reached on a single in the top of the seventh, the last hit of four for Western New England on the night, who dropped a 10-0 contest in seven innings, splitting the doubleheader with Johnson & Wales on the afternoon.
