SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (July 16, 2025) – After concluding the 2024-25 season with four consecutive first-place finishes, the Men's Golf program at Western New England University has released their schedule for the 2025 fall portion of their season. It includes five tournaments from September 13, 2025, to October 19, 2025.
The men begin their fall schedule with a trip to Middlebury, Vermont, and the Ralph Myhre Golf Course. They will participate in the Duke Nelson Invitational on Saturday, September 13, and Sunday, September 14. The two-day invitational will kick off their season. They placed fourth in the Middlebury tournament. It will be followed by the Bowdoin Invitational, two weeks later, where the Golden Bears placed tied for thirteenth last year. That tournament will be held at the Brunswick Golf Course in Brunswick, Maine, on Saturday, September 27, 2025, and Sunday, September 28, 2025. The Conference of New England Championships is next on the schedule. A tournament in which the blue and gold finished fifth last season. The tournament is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, October 4th and 5th, 2025. It will be hosted by the University of Hartford at Tumble Brook Country Club in Bloomfield, Connecticut. The winner of that tournament will receive a bid to the NCAA Championships in the spring of 2026.
The Skidmore Fall Invitational will follow the CNE Championship tournament. This tournament will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, and Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Saratoga Spa State Park in Saratoga Springs, New York. The Golden Bears aim to improve on their T-15th finish from last year, as last year's tournament was suspended on day two due to weather. The final competition of the 2025 fall schedule for the men's golf team is the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Championships, which is held at The Captain's Golf Course in Brewster, Massachusetts, on Saturday, October 18, 2025, and Sunday, October 19, 2025. WNE placed tied for eighth place last year and looks to improve even more in this season's tournament.
The 2026 spring portion of the men's golf team schedule will be announced in 2026.
