First Half:

- WNE started the contest by applying intense pressure early. They had a corner and two shots in the first two minutes. The second shot saw the ball strike the net.
- WNE kept moving towards goal and creating opportunities, but saves from Macdonald and stellar defense from the Nor'Easters made life tough for WNE.
- Casinghino had to make a save in the 18th minute, and UNE was starting to turn the momentum in their favor.
- The teams volleyed back and forth for possession and shot chances.
- The first half saw UNE get back into the game with multiple chances, but the half ended with three WNE shots, with one needing to be saved.

Second Half:
- WNE started the second half in the same fashion as the first half, but even better.
- Forty-four seconds into the second half, a throw into the 18-yard box was flicked to Ben Riley by Shay O'Neill. The ball hit off Riley and landed in front of Jack Leland, who netted the goal. WNE led 2-0.
- The teams both had an opportunity before WNE found even more success. It started in the 71st minute, when Cole Casinghino had a slide tackle that sent the ball to Tyler Lewis. Lewis then took the ball from there down the field and slotted it past the goalkeeper for the third goal. WNE led 3-0.
- Almost a minute and a half later, a quick throw-in from Matt Spruill led to Tyler Lewis going one-on-one with the defender, who Lewis made a move around and skipped the ball into the right corner of the goal from the left end line. WNE led 4-0.
- After some substitutions for WNE, Adam Saleh saw the ball crash into the back of the net for Saleh's first goal of the season. Matty Leonard had the assist for the fifth WNE goal. They led 5-0.
- The teams would go back-and-forth for the rest of play, with WNE having a few more shots, but no more goals.
