NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. (September 20, 2025) – After a stellar performance from the men's and women's cross country teams at the Elms Blazer Invitational, the teams traveled to North Dartmouth for the UMass-Dartmouth Corsair XC Invitational. The women's team placed 29th in the varsity race, and the men's team concluded the varsity race in 25th place.

How it Happened:
Men's Navy Race:
- The men's team raced in the first two races of the invitational.
- The first race was the Navy 8k race.
- Austin Vale da Serra finished first for WNE with a time of 29:23.10.
- Frank Kelly followed with a final time of 29:56.97, a season-best time by over three minutes.
- Next to cross the finish line for WNE was Brian Krzanowski, who finished with a time of 30:01.01, a season-best by just over two minutes and forty seconds.
- Lance Tomlinson was just behind Krzanowski, with a time of 30:03.26, a season-best time by just under a minute and fifty seconds.
- Alejandro Rivera was next for WNE with a season-best time of 30:25.79. Rivera dropped about a minute and forty seconds.
Men's Gold Race:
- The Men's Gold 8k race was the next race of the invitational.
- Nicholas Smith finished first in that race for WNE. Smith had a season-best time of 27:23.02, which ranks Smith as the 10th fastest 8k runner in program history.
- Joshua Farrell finished soon after Smith, with a season-best time of 27:32.44. That time also landed Farrell on the top-25 list for all-time best times at WNE. Farrell has the 17th fastest time in WNE 8k history.
- Lucas Franco would continue the fast racing with a season-best time of 27:58.10. That was a best time by just over a minute.
- Pablo Tapion finished next, with a season-best time of 28:42.80. This was almost a two-minute personal best for the season.
- John Bieszczad then finished with a season-best time of 29:08.60, a best time by just over a minute and a half.
- The men's varsity team would end the invitational in 29th place.
Women's Gold Race:
- The Women's Gold 6k race was the third event of the day.
- Olivia Kay would place first for WNE, with a season-best time of 25:06.12. A best time by just under half a minute.
- Nina Garfalo was second for WNE with a season-best time of 25:09.01. Garofalo ran a season-best time by just over forty seconds.
- Fallon Lynch placed third with a season-best time by over a minute of 25:16.92.
- Lia Pouliot placed next for WNE, with a time of 25:57.65.
- Then, Ava Bulmer would run through the finish line with a season-best time of 27:42.89. That was a best time by over a minute and ten seconds.
- WNE concluded the race in 29th place.
