How it Happened:
First Quarter:
- Tony Corrado got the contest started, as Corrado netted the opening goal for either side. Gabe Cobham assisted the goal, and WIT led 1-0 1:06 into the game.
- WNE would score four goals in a row after that. Logan Jenkins netted each and every one of the first-quarter goals for WNE. Jenkins scored two back-to-back goals with just under five minutes into the contest. Max Rudgers had the assist on the first goal. Jenkins' third goal would make it a first quarter hat-trick, and his fourth would see Kevin Morina assist the goal. WNE led 4-1 after the first quarter.
- WNE led in almost every stat after the first quarter. They had more shots (16-7), shots on goal (9-4), clears (7-6), ground balls (15-3), and faceoff wins (5-1).
Second Quarter:
- Combined, the teams would score one goal in the second quarter, as the defenses and goalies would not make life easy for the offenses.
- Brendan Kroll scored the quarter's only goal for Wentworth, with 8:26 left in the quarter, assisted by Tony Corrado. The score at halftime was 4-2, WNE.
- The second quarter was more even on both the scoreline and stat sheet. Both teams had eight shots and one faceoff win. WNE had more ground balls (8-6) and shots on goal (5-3). Wentworth had more saves (5-2) after having more in the first, also (5-3).
Third Quarter:
- Tony Corrado cut the Golden Bear lead to one 50 seconds into the second half with his 14th goal of the season.
- Jacob Roy then answered for WNE with a goal assisted by Thomas Labbe. Then, Jack Gara scored his first goal of the season to extend WNE's lead to three. Roy scored once again after that, on the man-up opportunity, before Kevin Morina added the fourth WNE goal of the quarter with 20 seconds left, assisted by Jacob Roy. WNE led 8-3 after three quarters of play.
- Once again, WNE had a heavy advantage on the stat sheet. WNE had more shots (11-6), shots on goal (8-2), ground balls (13-7), and faceoff wins (5-1). WIT had more saves (4-1).
Fourth Quarter:
- After 6:09 was played in the fourth and final quarter, TJ Dalicandro found the back of the goal off an assist from Max Rudgers. WNE led 9-3. Nathan Leone then scored after receiving a pass from Logan Jenkins, 10-3.
- Jacob Roy scored WNE's final goal of the contest with 3:43 left. Kevin Morina assisted the goal, and WNE led 11-3. That was before Tony Corrado claimed his hat-trick with 1:18 left in the game. Levi Kelly-Smith won the ensuing faceoff, and WNE took the win 11-4.
