SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (June 25, 2026) – 11 members of the Western New England women's swimming team have been named to the Little East Conference (LEC) Academic Honor Roll, tying the program record for most student-athletes named to the Academic Honor Roll in a single season since joining the conference.
In total, the LEC announced that 2,611 student-athletes competing across the conference's 24 championship sports were named to the LEC Academic Honor Roll in recognition of their academic performance in the Spring 2026 semester. To be named to the LEC Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a semester GPA of 3.00 or better and have been an active member of the team at the conclusion of the term.
Affiliate members of the conference make up 317 of the 2,611 student-athletes. In total, 438 student-athletes had a 4.00 semester GPA, 654 had at least a 3.90 GPA, 1,091 had at least a 3.75 GPA, 1,746 had at least a 3.50 GPA, and 2,110 had at least a 3.30 GPA. Western New England's honorees include

The 2025-26 season featured seven dual meet wins for the Golden Bears, going 7-4 overall, including a perfect 3-0 inside the Anthony S. Caprio Alumni Healthful Living Center. The Golden Bears finished seventh overall at the Little East Conference Championships, highlighted by LEC Swimmer of the Year,
Ella Smith.
