SPRINGFIELD, Mass. â€" Juniors Alyssa Katz (Cortlandt Manor, NY) and Megan Cloutier (Greenfield, MA) scored first half goals to lead Western New England College to a 2-0 non-conference victory over Nichols College.

Playing for the first time in nine days, the Golden Bears (9-4) recorded their fourth straight win (eighth in nine games) and first shutout of the season.

Senior Adrienne Guay (Enfield, NH) and freshman Emily Popham (Orange, MA) had assists for WNEC while junior goalie Jillian Brown (Plymouth, MA) made three saves.

Junior goalie Kara Cicchiello (Willimantic, CT) led the Bison (2-11) with 19 saves in a strong performance.
