AMHERST, Mass. -- For almost 42 minutes, Western New England College held its own against a strong Amherst squad.

The Jeffs, however, scored three times in a 15-minute span for a 3-0 victory over the Golden Bears in a non-conference game Thursday.

Senior goalie Jillian Brown (Plymouth, MA) kept Western New England College in the contest by making four of her five saves in the opening half to keep the match scoreless. The Golden Bears could muster only one shot on goal each half.

Western New England College now has a 10-3 record after watching its four-game winning streak come to an end. Amherst raises its mark to 6-3.
