SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Sophomore Audrey Kelton (Wilder, VT) set a school record with 12 points and senior Kristin Pimental (Tiverton, RI) had a career high six goals along with an assist as Western New England College won its first game of the season with an easy 27-2 victory over Castleton State College. Kelton scored two goals and had a school record 10 assists in the contest.

Junior Alyson Nowell (Feeding Hills, MA) also had a big game with three goals and four assists.

Juniors Cara Gandy (Ira, VT) and Shannon Montgomery (Bay Shore, NY), and freshman Kayte Devine (New Fairfield, CT) each chipped-in with three goals.

Freshman Julianna Mulroy (Wellesley, MA) had the first points of her collegiate career with two goals and three assists while senior Sarah Cunningham (LaGrangeville, NY) contributed two goals and two assists.

The Golden Bears are now 1-1 after winning their home and New England Women's Lacrosse Aliance (NEWLA) opener.
