Box Score LEICESTER, Mass. â€" The Western New England College field hockey team tied its season high for goals in rolling to a 6-0 victory over host Becker College Tuesday afternoon (Oct. 3) in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) game.
Senior Allison Jameson (Brattleboro, VT) led the attack with three goals and two assists as the Golden Bears won for the sixth time in their last seven contests.
Junior Sarah McQuarrie (Windham, ME) added her first collegiate goal along with an assist while junior Cori Eggert (Denville, NJ) and sophomore Samantha Hensen (Branchville, NJ) netted the others goals. Junior Emily Popham (Orange, MA) chipped in with an assist.
The game was scoreless for a little more than 25 minutes before McQuarrie tallied her winning shot with an assist from Jameson. Jameson then scored with an assist from Popham five minutes later as the Golden Bears headed into half-time with a 2-0 lead.
Western New England College scored four times in a 13-minute span after intermission to break the game open.
Western New England College climbs back over the .500 mark at 6-5 and remains undefeated in the NAC at 3-0. The Hawks remain winless at 0-10 and 0-5.
