WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Western New England College held its own against nationally-ranked Williams for most of the game, but fell 2-0 in a non-league men's soccer match Wednesday afternoon (Sept. 20).

The Ephs (3-0) scored in the 31st minute on an unassisted goal by Dana Leary and with 49 seconds left in the contest on a penalty kick by Patrick Huffer to avenge a 3-2 loss to the Golden Bears last year.

Senior goalkeeper Chris Wilk (Derry, NH) made four saves for the Golden Bears who drop to 4-2-1 following their second straight loss.

Williams is ranked sixth in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division III poll and first in the New England Region. Western New England College is ranked sixth in the region.
