Western New England College can't overcome slow start in loss to Babson

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Sophomore Jess Paladino (Turner, ME) scored three goals to lead the Babson College field hockey team to a 6-3 victory over host Western New England College in a non-league contest Thursday afternoon (Oct. 18).

Paladino netted all of her goals and had an assist in the opening half as the Beavers took a 5-1 advantage at intermission. Sophomore goalie Emily Cohen (West Grove, PA) finished with five saves.

Senior Cori Eggert (Denville, NJ) led the Golden Bears with a goal and assist while sophomores Lauren Arsenault (Fitchburg, MA) and Justine McComb (Newington, CT) had the other goals. Senior goalkeeper Emilie Donka (White River Junction, VT) had a busy afternoon compiling 24 saves.

Babson improves its record to 11-6 while Western New England College falls to 6-11.
