SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Junior Mollie Sweeney (South Hamilton, MA) tallied her team high seventh goal of the season in the first half and freshman Ariadni Niavadaki (Hania, Crete, Greece) added an insurance goal in the second half as Gordon College field hockey team remained unbeaten in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) with a 2-0 win over host Western New England College Monday afternoon (Oct. 8).

The Fighting Scots are now 8-6 overall and 5-0 in the conference. The Golden Bears, who had won four of their last five decisions, drop to 4-10 and 3-2 in TCCC.

Junior goalkeeper Chyanne Wilson (Pearl River, NY) stopped 10 shots for Gordon while senior Emilie Donka (White River Junction, VT) made seven saves for Western New England College.
