SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Senior Cori Eggert (Denville, NJ) scored two goals and had an assist to lead the Western New England College field hockey team to a 3-0 victory over visiting Salve Regina University Saturday evening (Sept. 29).

This was the second straight win for the Golden Bears who are now 2-8 overall and 2-1 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC).

Goals by Eggert and sophomore Lauren Arsenault (Fitchburg, MA) off penalty corners gave WNEC a 2-0 lead at half-time. Each player received an assist on the other's goal.

Senior goalie Emilie Donka (White River Junction, VT) continued her fine play by making six saves.

Sophomore Devin Eppley (Darien, CT) stopped eight shots for the Seahawks who fall to 4-4 overall and 1-1 in the conference.
