Keene State beats Western New England College in non-league outing

KEENE, N.H. - Junior midfielder Erin Dallas (Marlow, NH) had three goals and an assist to lead Keene State to a 5-1 victory over Western New England College in non-conference field hockey action at the Owl Athletic Complex Thursday night (Sept. 11).

After dropping its first game of the season, KSC has reeled off four straight wins. Western New England College falls to 0-3.

Dallas gave the Owls an early 1-0 lead with her first goal of the season at the 3:37 mark.

Senior Alyssa Rowell (Queensbury, NY) and Dallas combined on KSC's second goal, then just before the end of the half, freshman forward Jacki Benson (Hampstead, NH) tipped in a shot for a 3-0 lead at the break. 

Early in the second half, Dallas scored a pair of goals two minutes apart to extend Keene State's margin to 5-0.

Sophomore Katy Vogl (Cazenovia, NY) broke up the shutout bid by scoring on a rebound shot following a corner opportunity for the Golden Bears' first goal of the season. 

Freshman goalie Lindsey Orszulak (Longmeadow, MA) had a busy evening in the WNEC net finishing with 18 saves.

Junior Vikki Stoessel (Derry, NH) and sophomore Meghan Ledoux (Standish, ME) (two saves) each played a half in goal for the hosts.
