BEVERLY, Mass. - Freshman Colin Doody (Wethersfield, CT) scored on a penalty kick five minutes into the second overtime session as Endicott prevailed for a 1-0 victory over Western New England College Saturday night (Sept. 19).

The winning shot came when an Endicott player was tripped inside the box resulting in the penalty shot.

Doody, who had scored four goals in his previous two outings, then delivered the game-winner to end the match after 105 minutes, two seconds of action.

WNEC held a 14-12 advantage in shots and had a couple of scoring opportunities that missed in the first overtime period. Senior Marco Gomes (Ludlow, MA) made a nice defensive save to prevent EC from scoring in the first overtime period.

Senior goalkeeper Kyle Bak (Cumberland, RI) finished with four saves for the Golden Bears who are now 3-4 and 0-2 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC).

Freshman Daniel Higgins (Kingston, RI) turned aside five shots for the Gulls (3-3, 2-0 TCCC).
