BRISTOL, R.I. – The Western New England College men's soccer team earned its fifth straight victory in conference play with a 2-1 win at Roger Williams on Tuesday (Oct. 12) afternoon.

The Golden Bears improve to 10-4-1 overall and 8-1 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC). The Hawks slip to 5-8-1 and 5-3-1 in conference play.

Junior midfielder Shawn Fitzpatrick (Burnt Hills, NY) scored off of a corner kick at 17:26 to give the Golden Bears an early lead.

Roger Williams' sophomore defender Kamali Webson (Bellingham, MA) scored the equalizer with just under two minutes remaining in the opening half as the teams entered the break knotted at 1-1.

Freshman forward Ryan Williams (Brewster, NY) netted the game-winner in the 79th minute for his team leading sixth goal of the season.

Junior goalkeeper Sean Healey (Portland, CT) recorded four saves to pick up the win.

Roger Williams' senior goalkeeper Peter Plate (Commack, NY) made three stops in the loss.

The Golden Bears return to the field on Saturday (Oct. 16) at 11:00 a.m. hosting Gordon (6-4-2, 5-1-2 TCCC) in a conference match.
