DANBURY, Conn. – The Western New England College field hockey team defeated Western Connecticut, 2-1, in a non-league contest Tuesday evening (Oct. 26) at the Westside Athletic Complex.
This was the third straight win for the Golden Bears who are now 8-10. The Colonials drop to 7-9.

The Colonials got on the board when sophomore defender
Deanne Mastrocola (Goshen, CT) scored an unassisted goal at 61:27.
Western Connecticut kept the pressure on holding an 18-8 edge in shots, but couldn't get the equalizer down the stretch.

The Golden Bears will travel to Elms on Thursday (Oct. 28) at 7:00 p.m. for their final regular season game of the season.
