BOSTON, Mass. - The Western New England College men's soccer team claimed its third straight victory with a 2-1 win over Wentworth in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) action on Tuesday night (Sept. 21).

Senior midfielder Justin Martins (Ludlow, MA) tallied the game-winner for the Golden Bears at the 61:01 mark, which was his third goal of the season.

Wentworth jumped out to an early lead thanks to junior forward Josh Deschene (Webster, MA) who scored in the 8th minute on a feed from senior midfielder David Lagarce (Lenox, MA).

Western New England College leveled the score at 1-1 just ten minutes later, as junior midfielder Shawn Fitzpatrick (Burn Hills, NY) found the back of the net for his second goal this year.

Freshman Domenick Villano (Bronxville, NY) made just one save as he improved to 5-1-1 on the season. 

Wentworth sophomore John Longo (Needham, MA) made three saves to fall to 0-1. 

The Golden Bears improve their overall record to 5-3-1, and remain unbeaten at 3-0 in TCCC play. The Leopards drop to 3-4 overall with a 1-2 conference mark.

Western New England College returns to the pitch on Saturday (Sept. 25) at 11:00 a.m. to take on Nichols (4-1, 2-0) in Dudley, MA.
