SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Western New England women's soccer team broke through with a pair of late goals to defeat Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts 2-0 on Tuesday (Oct. 4) afternoon at rainy Suprenant Field.

The Golden Bears held a 27-9 edge in shots, with a 12-1 advantage in shots on target.

Jen Wehner (Hartwick, NY) was outstanding in defeat as she turned away 10 shots to keep her side in the contest throughout.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Victoria Tresize (Islip, NY) made one save to earn the shutout win in net for Western New England.
The Golden Bears improve to 2-8-2; while the Trailblazers slip to 3-6-1 on the year.
WNE returns to the field Saturday (Oct. 8) for a 12:00 p.m. match with Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) rival University of New England.
