WNE Women’s Soccer Publicizes 2026 Fall Schedule

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (July 15, 2026) – The Western New England women's soccer team has publicized its 2026 fall schedule, set to begin on Wednesday, September 2, on the road at Springfield College. The 16-game schedule features an even split of home and road contests, playing eight games at Suprenant Field this upcoming season.

The Golden Bears take on the Pride of Springfield College in the season opener on the road from Brock-Affleck Field on Wednesday, September 2, at 7:00 PM. Western New England defeated Springfield last season by a 2-0 score following a pair of second-half goals. WNE is 2-0-1 in its last three home games over the Pride, but is still seeking its first road victory in the series. The Golden Bears will open their home schedule when Clark University visits Springfield on Saturday, September 5, at 11:00 AM. The two teams met for the first time a season ago, playing to a 1-1 draw. WNE then hosts UMass-Dartmouth on Tuesday, September 8, at 4:30 PM from Suprenant Field. The teams will meet for the first time in program history.

Conference of New England (CNE) play begins on Saturday, September 12, when the Golden Bears host the Bison of Nichols College at 12:00 PM. WNE has won its last 18 games over Nichols in the series between the two teams. The Golden Bears have pitched five straight shutouts over the Bison, including last season's 2-0 win on the road. Western New England continues conference play the next weekend with a road contest against the Hawks of Roger Williams University on Saturday, September 19, at 12:00 PM. The teams renew their rivalry, seeing RWU take a 1-0 win last season, but the Golden Bears are 1-0-2 over their last three prior against the Hawks. WNE jumps back into non-conference action for a midweek contest at Keene State College on Tuesday, September 22, at 7:00 PM. The Golden Bears are winners in their last six over the Owls after starting off with nine straight losses in the all-time series. WNE has outscored KSC 14-2 over the last six wins, including a 2-0 victory last season at home. The Golden Bears return home that weekend to take on Wentworth Institute of Technology in CNE action on Saturday, September 26, at 12:00 PM. Western New England will look to rebound following its first loss to Wentworth in nine years last season, falling 2-1. WNE is 7-3-1 in its last 11 games against Wentworth on home field. The month of September wraps up with a home non-conference contest against Westfield State University on Wednesday, September 30, at 4:00 PM. Western New England is 2-0-2 in their last four against the Owls overall.

Eight matches remain on WNE's October schedule, which begins with a four-game road trip, three of the four coming in CNE play. The road swing opens with a game at the University of New England on Saturday, October 3, at 3:00 PM. Western New England had won four straight against UNE until last season's 2-1 defeat.
WNE heads to Endicott College on Wednesday, October 7, for a 4:00 PM kickoff. WNE dropped a 1-0 decision last year to the Gulls but were victorious the last time the two teams met in Beverly in 2024. The road swing continues with another conference match, heading back out east to Boston, taking on the Rams of Suffolk University on Saturday, October 10, at 12:00 PM. The Golden Bears have had much success over Suffolk since the Rams joined the conference, going 4-0-1 overall, including last season's dramatic 3-2 victory. The four-game road trip finishes out with the final non-conference game of the regular season when the Golden Bears head to Fitchburg State University for a midweek match on Tuesday, October 13, for a 6:00 PM start. WNE has met the Falcons in each of the last five seasons, going 5-0 during that stretch, outscoring Fitchburg 19-1.

Four CNE games remain on the schedule for the Golden Bears, including three at Suprenant Field. Johnson & Wales University makes its first appearance in Springfield since 2019 on Saturday, October 17, at 12:00 PM. The two teams met for the first time since JWU joined the conference last season, playing to a 1-1 draw. Western New England then hosts Gordon College on Tuesday, October 20, for a 3:30 PM kickoff. WNE picked up a victory last season on the road at Gordon and has defeated the Fighting Scots in six of its nine meetings at Suprenant Field. Western New England then heads to Curry College on Saturday, October 24, at 11:00 AM for conference action. The Golden Bears have wins in six of their last eight games over the Colonels, going 6-0-2 in the eight-game span overall. The regular season ends at Surprenant Field on Tuesday, October 27, when the University of Hartford visits Springfield. The Golden Bears knocked off the eventual CNE Champion Hawks last season on the road by a 1-0 score, and are looking for their first victory on home field against the Hawks. Kickoff is set for 3:30 PM.

The Conference of New England Tournament will begin with first-round matches on Saturday, October 31, followed by the CNE Semifinals on Wednesday, November 4, and the championship game on Saturday, November 7.
