SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (December 2, 2025) – Western New England women's soccer sophomore defender Abigail Alicandro has earned honors on the United Soccer Coaches Association All-Region Team. 

Alicandro locked down the defensive line for the Golden Bears this season, a team that gave up just one goal per game and pitched six shutouts overall during the season. Alicandro picked up a goal, a game-winning goal, in a 2-0 win over Keene State (9/23). Alicandro took 14 shots, putting seven shots on goal, and played in 1,529 minutes during the season. 

Alicandro is the first stand-alone Golden Bear to be named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team, being named to the All-Region Third Team.
