SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (November 7, 2025) – The Conference of New England (CNE) has declared their Women's Soccer Postseason Awards for the 2025 season. The Golden Bears see two student-athletes named to an All-Conference Team and one student-athlete named to the Community Service Team.
Two Golden Bears were named to the 2025 Women's Soccer All-Conference Third Team this season. Liza Pinette picked up her second All-Conference Team selection after being named to the second team in 2023. Pinette led the Golden Bear offense with a team-high six goals, three assists, and a team-high fifteen points. Pinette also had a team-leading two game-winning goals for WNE during the season. Pinette's speed allowed her to stretch the field for WNE and was a strong attacking option for the Golden Bears during all 18 games in which Pinette started and played this season. Abigail Alicandro was named to her first All-CNE team in 2025. Alicandro was an ever-looming presence for the Golden Bear defense. Alicandro's constant tackles and smart decision-making helped the WNE defense collect six shutout victories. The Oxford, Massachusetts resident scored one goal during the season in a game versus Keene State College on Suprenant Field in Springfield, Massachusetts. That is Alicandro's second goal of her Golden Bear career.
The CNE Community Service Team has named Ella Lupo for the 2025 season. Lupo is a four-year member of the WNE Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and is part of the Captain's Council at WNE. Lupo leads the women's soccer team's community service initiatives, which include canned food drives and sponsoring multiple children at Christmas time to purchase gifts for them, allowing them to experience a happy holiday. Lupo is also a part of the Alpha Beta Psi Honor Society for Accounting on campus. Ella Lupo dedicates her time, both on and off the pitch, to being a leader in all facets of her life.
