Kaitlyn Hall notched eight saves as the Western New England University field hockey team came from behind to double up Gordon College, 4-2, in a Commonwealth Coast Conference game as both teams ended the regular season on Saturday. The Golden Bears wind up the 2012 campaign with a 6-13 record and won their first CCC game in 10 starts, while the Fighting Scots fall to 6-13 overall and 3-7 in the conference.

Caitlin Foster, Van Huysen, Lalonde and Hall took matters into their own hands to make Senior Day special. Madaio and Van Huysen, both captains on the back, organized the defense after Gordon took a quick 1-0 lead on a goal by Brittany Hawkins just 2 minutes and 29 seconds into the game.
Trailing 1-0 in the second half, Western New England went ahead 2-1 on goals by
Sarah Race in the 47th minute and Van Huysen in the 51st.
After Leah LaPalombara tied it 2 minutes later, freshman
Chelsea Hayes put the Golden Bears up for good with her sixth tally of the season in the 58th minute.
Western New England was able to offset an 18-12 disadvantage by scoring four second-half goals after falling behind 1-0 early on.
